This is a timetable of events for which arrangements have been made by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Lunch and most evening meals will be at a place of your own choice. All classes will take place at the Shakespeare Centre, Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon in the rooms indicated. All classes last approximately one hour unless listed otherwise.

 

Wednesday 15 June  
2.30pm Coach pick-up from Hotel Russell: 1-8 Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London, WC1 for transfer to Stratford-upon-Avon
[Theatre tickets to be left at the guesthouse]
7.15pm Evening performance of The Merchant of Venice at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre
   
Thursday 16 June [Alleyn Room unless otherwise indicated]
9.00am Introduction and welcome to the Shakespeare Centre
9.15am Elizabeth Woledge will lead a post-performance discussion on The Merchant of Venice
10.00am Coffee [James 1 Lounge]
10.30am RSC Q&A session on The Merchant of Venice chaired by Elizabeth Woledge
11.30pm Visit to the Birthplace
Lunch – own arrangements
1.30pm RSC voice class [Wolfson Hall]
2.30pm Alycia Timmis will speak on Macbeth
7.15pm Evening performance of Macbeth at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre
   
Friday 17 June [Wolfson Hall]
9.30am Paul Edmondson will lead a post-performance discussion on Macbeth
10.30am Coffee [James 1 Lounge]
11.00am - 12.00pm RSC Q & A session on Macbeth chaired by Paul Edmondson
12.00pm Lunch - own arrangements
1.30 – 3.30pm “Shakespeare and Directing” workshop with Ian Hughes
3.45pm Visit to Nash’s House and the dig site [last entry at 5.00 pm]
7.30pm Evening performance of Dunsinane at the Swan Theatre
   
Saturday 18 June  
8am Coach pick-up from Stratford-upon-Avon guesthouses to Hotel Russell, Bloomsbury, London
