Mission Statement
The Mission of American Friends is to encourage appreciation of William Shakespeare’s works by enabling students (high school, undergraduate and graduate levels) to study on-site at the Shakespeare Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom for interpretive programs. Our educational and artistic initiative is developed in collaboration with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, in Stratford-upon-Avon, U.K.
All members of American Friends work pro bono. Your tax-deductible financial contributions make scholarships available to meritorious American students and assist the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in the maintenance of its properties, exhibitions, projects and the acquisition of artwork, rare books, and objects.
