Mission Statement

The Mission of American Friends is to encourage appreciation of William Shakespeare’s works by enabling students (high school, undergraduate and graduate levels) to study on-site at the Shakespeare Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon, England for interpretive programs. This international educational and artistic initiative is developed with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Also, through your tax-deductible financial contributions American Friends seeks to assist The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in the maintenance of its properties and the acquisition of artwork, rare books, and objects.
