We Need Your Support

United States citizens who wish to support the programs, exhibitions, projects, scholarships and properties of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust can make tax-deductible contributions through American Friends. Donations are 100% tax-deductible. Each donation will be marked by a receipt.

Gifts and bequests during your lifetime or by your will are a direct and forceful way of showing your interest and commitment to the objectives of American Friends. Gifts and bequests are tax exempt or deductible for income, gift and estate tax purposes. Donors may also choose to contribute their long-term appreciated securities to American Friends; they will get a double income tax benefit: a deduction for the full present fair market value and complete avoidance of capital gains tax on the securities’ appreciation. This double-tax benefit significantly reduces the out-of-pocket cost of your generosity. Please check with your own tax advisor as to deductibility in your situation.
